ARUNA 5K Run for their freedom

Registration: 9 a.m. 5K Start Time: 10 a.m.

Registration

Register on line at www.Aruna5k.com until April 7th, or register on race day at Sigma Sigma Commons. No registration fee, but our desire is that each participant raise a minimum of $50 in sponsorship to aid in the freedom of the enslaved.

Location

UC Main Campus at Sigma Sigma Commons (2600 Clifton Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45220)

Parking

Ample parking is available inside the Stratford Heights parking garage (on Clifton Ave.) for $4 and

in all garages on campus. There is also parking on surrounding streets (metered and free).

Route

The 3.1 mile (5K) weaves through the University of Cincinnati campus. The run/walk begins and ends at Sigma Sigma Commons with the entire route handicap accessible. The run/walk will happen rain or shine.

Divisions and Awards

Men & Women—14 & under, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50+. Each participant who raises over $50 will receive an Aruna 5k t-shirt.

Post Race Immediately following the Aruna 5k we will be celebrating funds raised, awarding prizes, and enjoying bananas, bagels and refreshments.

Waiver: I know that running and/or walking this event can be a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter and participate unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of an event official relative to my ability to safely finish. I assume all risks associated with participating in this event including, but not limited to, falls, contact with other participants, the effects of weather, traffic, and the condition of the road. Having read this waiver, knowing these facts, and in consideration of your acceptance of my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the University of Cincinnati, Steve Prescott, Campus Crusade, all sponsors, all volunteers, their representatives and successors from any claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of participation in this

event, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of persons named in this waiver

Please collect checks made payable to Oasis (the Aruna Project in the memo line) and/or cash prior to the event and bring them to registration, or ask your sponsors to give online prior to the event. All funds raised go through Oasis India to the Aruna Project to aid in the rescue of those trapped in sexual exploitation.
